Rebirth Brass Band wins its first Grammy Award

The band’s “Rebirth of New Orleans,” released by Basin Street during the 2011 Mardi Gras, was named best regional roots music album Sunday afternoon during the pre-telecast portion of the 54th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. They were thinking that this wasn't happening  because "It's like New Orleans winning the Super Bowl all over again", but they really deserve this nomination.

    Do you know how long Rebirth has been around for? It is amazing that they finally won a Grammy after all of these years!
