Taxi
driver shot during attempted robbery in Metairie
In the
1400 block of Green Street around 3:20 a.m., a man shot a taxi driver when he
was waiting for a costumer. He was driving from The French Quarter to Metairie.
In the way to his costumer house he saw that a white Ford Crown Victoria was
following him. This car was with tinted windows and he thought it was a police
car. When he arrived to his destiny the costumer entered to his house to look
for money. During that period of time the men that was in the car got out of it
and asked the taxi driver for money and he refused to give the men money so
this men shot the driver. The male taxi driver stayed in stable condition after
the shooting.
