Wanted: Kenner residents with an opinion on the city's future.

A schedule
Kenner is in the process of drafting a comprehensive land-use plan. It is Pattern for Progress, the city's existing plan, was written before Hurricane Katrina. Expanding this plan and revising zoning and subdivision ordinances, a $238,125 was given to Kenner in 2010.
The land-use meetings will be held:

    Thursday, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Martin Luther King Resource Center, 1042 31st St.
    April 11, 7 to 9 p.m., at Driftwood Park Country Club, 94 Gelpi Ave.
    April 17, 7 to 9 p.m., at City Park pavilion, 3800 Loyola Drive.
    April 18, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at City Council Chambers, City Hall, 1801 Williams Blvd.
    April 24, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Heritage Hall, 303 Williams Blvd.
    May 10, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the City Park pavilion, 3800 Loyola Drive.

    So what do the land-use meetings entail? Why are there so many meetings scheduled?
