Nola´s houses

I saw this house on Calhoun street 1548. I spent a few minutes to identify what kind of house. At the end, observing the characteristics I know was a eastlake shotgun double.  The reason is because I can see turned-wood balustrade, two over-four full-length window, piecework, turned-wood colonnete, traisom, quions and gallery. So all these characteristics are common for a Eastlake Shotgun Double.

This is my favorite house, because is absolutely gorgeous for me. I can not identify what type it is. But If i compare with the other styles, this house have some elements of greece architecture.

House in New Orleans

This is typical New Orleans Bungalow Shotgun Double house. Two families live in this houses and they shared the center wall. Each family has the first floor and second floor.

This is a nice house, which I don't know the house style. It looks like a king house.

Houses

This is a typical Queen Anne House. It has an interesting outside. It is very large. There has different roof types on this house. I like this house's color. Ir's pretty new house. The side- gable roof is very special one.

This is regular shotgun single house. I saw it on the state street. It's very long and narrow. This is traditional type of house, but I think it little bite like Queen Anne house. I found there have lot of houses have trigonal roof. I guess the reason is depend on climate. This kind of roof is cooler than other roof. In New Orleans summer, it's very important.

house style in New Orleans

1225,Burdette. This is a typical double shotgun house which is very easy to identify.Because there are two entrances which are connected to each other and sharing a central wall. They are a form of semi-detached housing.
7328, Plum. This is the house whose style is hard for me to identify. The upper windows look like Acadian style but the shape of the whole building doesn't exactly match the style. So it's hard to judge.

Houses

THE SHOTGUN HOUSES

I was easily able to identify one house in the French Quarter next to Toulouse St. It is actually a succession of old shotgun houses. You can notice that they are identical houses, built and constructed  next to each other. These houses had been surelevated after Katrina. Actually, one of the door was opened and you could see the series of rooms.
It was not difficult to find a shotgun in the French Quarter. I picked up the blue one because I really liked the color and, it was interesting to see how people live very close to each other.

MY FAVORITE HOUSE

The house is next to Prytania. It actually belongs to three students. I love the house because of the two floors and the balconies . I also like the two colors and the way they mixed wood and iron.

Anti-Bullying documentary

Nowadays in the United States and around the world, Bullying is a big issue that most of the teenagers are facing. There are a lot of campaigns and documentaries about this controversial topic, so a film producer named Harvey Weinstein created a new documentary called ‘’Bully’’; this is showing every single detail some of the teenagers are facing but there are a lot of negative feedbacks because the MPAA thinks that it is too strong to show this to kids in middle school (where this documentary would be really helpful) and that the language is inappropriate. However, as the rated R results were shown, many people were making a petition to release this documentary for the good of children.

Alicia Lucidi

America's most wanted is a tv show which tells you who is dangerous and asks for your help. The Victors, a couple who flew after they were arrested for the murder of one of their children, has been finally located and arrested in Georgia after for years. It is funny to see that to not be found they stopped using cellphones and the internet and that it is finally one of the media which betrayed them.

Recently, we have to pay attention to an outbreak of salmonella. We have found 116 sick people in 20 states. Fortunately, we have not had deaths report. There many frozen raw yellowfin tuna have problem. Marine USA Corp. of Cupertino said that they just sold these tuna to grocery stores and restaurants, not to individual consumers. But if you have symptoms like diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever after eating dirty food, you should go to see the doctor. It’s may salmonella. I think it’s better that we just don’t eat raw yellowfin tuna recently.
